Every week gets busier with clients – yay!!! I spent my free time talking to gym members,
preparing choreography for my classes, experimenting with new exercises for my clients and doing my own workouts.
Sunday: rest
Monday: taught Bodystep, taught stretch, and taught Bodypump
Tuesday: 30 minutes of cardio, taught Bodystep
Wednesday: 30 minutes of weight training
Thursday: taught Bodypump
Friday: taught Bodyflow
Saturday: Bodyflow practice for Flow 61 launch
Monday’s are busy for me right now since I teach step in the mornings then team teach step with another instructor in the evening before I teach pump. This Monday was especially exciting since I was asked to teach an impromptu stretch class after the morning step class. I’ve never taught a free-style stretch class before but I pulled from what I’ve learned from taking a stretch class, my personal training stretches and Bodyflow choreography and the class participants said they really liked it! Tuesday, I finally managed to get in my own cardio workout via the rowing machine and the Octane lateral elliptical. Rowing was tougher than I remembered since I haven’t really done any rowing since college, but I still managed about 4000m in 20 minutes then finished my 1/2 hour on the elliptical. Wednesday was the one day of the work week that I wasn’t teaching so I worked out with another trainer. We worked on front squats, hang cleans and pull-ups. I had never done hang cleans before but they are very similar to the clean and press from Bodypump. It’s always nice to learn and practice new exercises. I was pleased with my pull-up workout as well – I can now do 5. I’m trying to work my way up to 10+. Thursday and Friday I didn’t manage to fit in my own workouts but I was still active through teaching. Bodyflow after work on Friday was a great way to wind down at the end of the work week. Today I’ve spent my time learning choreography for our Bodyflow 61 launch tomorrow morning at Gold’s.
I hope you all had a productive and enjoyable workout week as well.
